5 Busted For Drug Abuse At Solon High School
A week after two students were busted trying to sell marijuana brownies, five students were cited for showing up to school high.

SOLON, OH — Five Solon High School students have been issued misdemeanor citations for Drug Abuse. The group are all believed to have been high on marijuana on May 4.
Solon High School's principal noticed the students had red eyes and reeked of marijuana. He questioned the students and police were called to the scene.
Officers say the high schoolers all admitted to smoking marijuana at the Park East Apartments prior to coming to school that day. Three of the boys are 18-years-old and were issued misdemeanor citations for Drug Abuse. Two others are under 18 and have been referred to the juvenile officer for the same offense.

The Solon Schools do offer various education programs on the dangers of drug use, but the spokesperson says it is also important for parents to get involved with children and have conversations about drug risks.
"We are committed to drug-free schools and we will do whatever it takes to make that happen," the spokesperson said.
