Governor John Kasich is again criticizing his party's nominee, this time lambasting Donald Trump's claims that the presidential election is rigged. Kasich repeatedly called the claims "silly" during a television interview.

Cleveland Among 50 U.S. Cities With Most Rats
The city of Cleveland ranks 15th on Orkin's city's with the most rats list. The list includes both residential and commercial locations in its tally. Cincinnati ranked 34th and Columbus ranked 37th, so Cleveland isn't without company in the state. Fall is the beginning of rodent season, so Ohio's cities could be entering peak infestation months.

McKinley-Massilon Food Fight Helping Stop Hunger in Stark County
The McKinley-Massillon high school football rivalry is extending beyond the gridiron, prior to the historic showdown on Oct. 29. The fifth annual McKinley – Massillon Food Fight continues with students, faculty and pup and tiger supporters donating non-perishable food as the rivals compete to feed the hungry in Stark County.

With Halloween rapidly approaching, it's time for the Cleveland Metropark's Boo at the Zoo. The all ages event runs Oct. 20-23 and Oct. 27-30 from 5 to 9 p.m.
Westlake High School Students Advance to Finals of Innovation Competition
The Hyland High School Innovation Showdown, which invites teams of students to Hyland to compete and showcase original ideas, will feature a group of Westlake students in the finals. The senior team of Sneha Ramachandran, Mark Sargent, Jackson Liang, and David Eppele advanced to the final round of the annual Hyland High School Innovation Showdown.
Social Security Retirees Will Get Just $4 More Per Month Next Year
Checks to the more than 65 million Americans who depend on the funds will increase by just 0.3 percent in 2017. That will mean about four more extra bucks a month for the average retiree, equal to a whopping 13 cents per day. The average disabled worker will get about $3.50 extra a month, 11 or so cents per day.
