• Man and his son arrested for domestic violence, request protection orders against each other: Solon Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — Several recent police calls in Solon, including a serious domestic violence incident between a father and son on Pettibone Road, led to arrests and protection order requests. Officers also handled warrant arrests tied to traffic stops, an OVI checkpoint stop where a driver blew just over the legal limit, and a phone theft reported at a Kruse Drive business.
   

• University Heights seeks state funding to demolish 3 blighted properties (cleveland.com) — University Heights officials are set to vote Tuesday on a three-year deal that would send the city's prisoners to Solon's jail, paying $78,000 a year plus medical costs. The council meeting will also cover a state grant bid to demolish blighted homes and several zoning and lease issues, but the Solon jail contract could shape regional public safety cooperation.
