Solon Hosting Drug Take-Back Day Oct. 22

SOLON, OH - Solon Police will again participate in Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 22.
Officers will be in front of the Solon Senior Center, 35000 Portz Parkway, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to collect expired or unused prescription medication (pills only). The drugs will be turned over to the DEA for safe, proper disposal.
Disposing of your medication properly is particularly important in Ohio, where addiction problems have erupted into a full-blown crisis. A new report from the Democratic staff of the Senate Finance Committee hascalled Ohio the face of the nation's opioid addiction epidemic, saying that nearly 86 percent of people suffering from dependence or misuse issues do not have access to the care they need.
