• Stow amphitheater project: city proposes outdoor drinking district to boost development (cleveland.com) — Stow officials are weighing a new outdoor drinking district around The AMP amphitheater, and you'll have another chance to speak up at an Oct. 22 public hearing at City Hall. The proposed DORA would link nearby businesses, operate daily, and is central to a broader plan to redevelop the Stow-Hudson Towne Center area.
   

• Aging pipes, new tower: Why Stow water bills may soon rise (cleveland.com) — Stow City Council is considering multi-year water and stormwater rate increases starting in 2027 that could raise monthly fees but also boost discounts for qualifying fixed-income and disabled residents. Officials say the money is needed for a new water tower, meter replacements, and extensive water-main work after years of rising breaks and tight finances.
   

• Summit Emergency Communications Center named Ohio Dispatch Center of Year (akron.com) — Emergency calls from Stow are handled by the Summit Emergency Communications Center, which has just been named Ohio's 2025 Gold Star Dispatch Center of the Year. The regional center serves multiple Summit County communities and was honored for its telecommunicators' skill, compassion, and role in keeping residents and first responders safe.
