Play of the Week: Touchdown in Double OT for Win Against Twinsburg

Miss the game Friday? You don't want to miss this recap of the final touchdown that won it for the Bulldogs Friday night (Sept. 16) against Twinsburg High School.

Your team is on the one yard line, tied in double overtime. What do you do?

If you're the quarterback Chris Choler, you make the touchdown happen when the pressure is on, with the help of your fellow Bulldogs.

"Chris is a true competitor. He has good command of the offense and is a student of the game," said Coach Mark Nori. "He does a nice job of making a play when we need one. He continues to grow as a quarterback and a leader."

The play-by-play in double overtime according to Nori:

We had gotten down to the one yard line using the tough running by Nick Mutaali. On the ensuing play, we tried a dive play up the middle with Luke Kiehl, but Twinsburg had stacked the line and we went nowhere.

Following a time out, we put Chris in the shotgun and called a quarterback keeper off of the left side. Both the offensive line and wide receivers did a great job of blocking to get Chris across the goal line.

That made the score 27-24, which was the final against Twinsburg.
