Stow Snapshots: Bulldogs Beat Hoover Vikings 27-17
The Stow Bulldogs football team visited North Canton's Hoover Vikings to open the season. Check out our gallery to see some of the game action for the win!
The Bulldogs opened their season by heading south to North Canton to play against the Hoover Vikings of the Federal League.
The game started off in the Vikings favor with an early field goal making the score 3-0. Stow was held scoreless until midway through the second quarter when they broke through for a touchdown.
Stow's kicker had troubles the whole night and missed this extra point attempt making the score 6-3 in Stow's favor.

Stow scored another touchdown with another missed extra point late in the 2nd quarter making the score 12-3 as time ran out in the first half.
Stow took control of the game midway through the 3rd quarter when Quarterback Christopher Choler broke a Viking tackle and ran around the visitor's side for a touchdown.

The Bulldogs completed a 2-point conversion to make the score 20-3.
Hoover made a move late in the 3rd quarter with an interception by Dom Iero followed by a rushing touchdown with a minute left. The Vikings completed the extra point attempt to bring the score to 20-10 in favor of Stow.
Stow made several good runs, intercepted a pass and later scored in the 4th to take the game out of reach for the Vikings at 27-10.
The Vikings continued to play hard and Quarterback Austin Appleby tossed a touchdown pass late in the 4th quarter to make the final score 27-17 in favor of the Stow Bulldogs.
