City crews have already graded the site, installed utilities, and built shade structures, with fencing, seating, water features, and a dog-wash bay still to come.

• Strongsville schools resumes high school drug testing but eliminates nonvoluntary testing for middle-schoolers (cleveland.com) — Strongsville City Schools will continue random drug testing at the high school but has ended mandatory testing for all Strongsville Middle School students and scheduled tests for high school athletes, club members, and student drivers. Board members split over whether testing feels punitive or protective, with some urging an opt-in, parent-driven approach and others calling testing a character-building safeguard for future leaders.

• Promised a 'fortune,' resident seeks officer advice: Strongsville Police Blotter (cleveland.com) — Strongsville police recently helped a Whitney Road resident avoid a scam letter falsely promising an inheritance "fortune" from Canada, reminding neighbors to be wary of unsolicited offers. Officers also responded to noise and suspicious-vehicle complaints in local neighborhoods and arrested a driver accused of going the wrong way on Royalton Road after allegedly drinking, underscoring ongoing traffic and quality-of-life enforcement.
