• Strongsville schools levy vote could decide whether some families stay (cleveland19.com) — Strongsville residents face a crucial Nov. 3 vote on Issue 9, a five-year operating levy that would nearly double the school tax per $100,000 of home value but preserve sports, busing, and class options. If it fails, the district projects $14 million in additional cuts, loss of about 100 staff positions, elimination of middle and high school sports, and sharply reduced busing and electives.
   

• OHSAA computer playoff ratings begin with Week 6 of football season (hometownstations.com) — Strongsville High's football team is currently ranked 10th in Division I, Region 1 in the first OHSAA computer playoff ratings, with a 3–2 record entering Week 6. The top 12 teams in each region make the playoffs and the top four earn first-round byes, so Strongsville is in the mix but has little margin for error as the season continues.
