Strongsville Schools, Teachers Agree On Contract Extension
The Strongsville Education Association, which represents the district's teachers, signed a three-year contract extension this week.
STRONGSVILLE, OH — The Strongsville Schools and the Strongsville Education Association have agreed on a three-year contract extension. Teachers will receive a 2-percent salary increase annually, under the terms of the contract.
“This contract extension exemplifies the continued collaborative relationship that has been built with our teachers. This is a fiscally responsible agreement and is in line with our forecasted budgets over the next three years. We have outstanding teachers in our district and the stability this contract extension provides is a positive factor in retaining our high quality teachers that provide a premier learning environment for our students,” said Cameron Ryba, superintendent of Strongsville City Schools.
The new contract goes into effect August 1, 2020 and will remain in effect until July 31, 2023. The last contract between the schools and teachers association included a 1.5-percent annual salary increase. That contract lasted one year.
