• 180th Fighter Wing to go through large-scale combat readiness inspection April 20-26 (13abc.com) — Expect louder-than-normal jet noise and simulated combat sounds around the 180th Fighter Wing base in Swanton from April 20–26 as airmen undergo a major combat readiness inspection. F-16s will be flying day and night, with booms, sirens and loudspeakers all part of 24-hour training scenarios, which officials stress are only simulations.
