• Woodridge holds off Tallmadge to stay in MAC title hunt (cleveland.com) — Tallmadge’s Blue Devils fell 35-21 to Woodridge in Friday night’s Metro Athletic Conference matchup, despite closing the gap to one score in the third quarter. Tallmadge’s offense produced three touchdowns, but a stalled red-zone drive and Woodridge’s late passing attack ultimately decided the game and affected the conference title race. 
• U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force (usmarshals.gov) — A regional U.S. Marshals task force that includes the Tallmadge Police Department was involved after officers tried to arrest a wanted man at an Akron home, leading to a fatal shooting. State investigators and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office will review the case, while residents are reminded they can anonymously share tips about other fugitives.
