Here are the top five stories today in Toledo:
- Toledo Police are investigating the death of an unnamed 40-year-old man who was found on a sidewalk Wednesday morning around 1:17 a.m. in the 1300 block of Fitchland Avenue between Snead and North Detroit Avenue. (WTVG)
- The intersection of Jackman and Laskey was closed after a car caught fire after being struck by a bus on Tuesday around 8 p.m. Toledo Police confirmed the bus was at fault and no serious injuries were reported. (WTVG)
- The Toledo City Council voted to halt the sale of the former Mott Branch Library on Dorr Street to Compassion Healthcare. Though the council and Mayor Kapszukiewicz initially approved of the deal, council members say the terms were changed and important information regarding a conflict of interest was withheld. (WTOL)
- A Toledo Police Officer was shot by a fellow officer during a pit bull attack in the 2000 block of Wyndhurst Road. TPD reports an officer fired a shotgun round while another fired three handgun rounds, one of which ricocheted off the ground and struck another officer in the leg. (WNWO NBC 24)
- The FBI is searching for two men accused of robbing the Huntington Bank in Maumee on Tuesday. The pair have also been identified as possibly attempting to rob the Motel 6 on Heatherdowns Blvd. (WTOL)

- The Toledo Walleye are up 3-0 in a series against the Wheeling Nailers for the Central Division Finals of the Kelly Cup Playoffs. The next game is scheduled for this evening in Wheeling, West Virginia. (WTOL)
- Bruce Gradkowski is stepping down as Head Football Coach for St. Francis after just one season. Gradkowski will be replaced by interim coach Mike Blochowski. (WTOL)
- Residents of a North Toledo neighborhood surrounding the Thurgood Marshall building want input on the proposal to turn the site into affordable senior housing. Members of the One Village neighborhood met Tuesday at the Lagrange Library to discuss the project. (WTVG)
- The University of Toledo unveiled its new water research vessel at the Lake Erie Center on Tuesday. The 21-foot R/V Spangler was named after the late charter boat captain and water quality advocate Dave Spangler. (WNWO NBC 24)
- The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo, together with NSG Pilkinton, is accepting proposals for its Momentum Program. The opportunity is modeled after Toledo's experimental glass workshops held in 1962 and invites contributors to reimagine glass projects. (La Prensa)
