Here are the top stories today in Toledo:
- Toledo Police report a stolen SUV ran into a home in the 600 block of Lodge at the corner of Grafton and Lodge in South Toledo Wednesday night. Toledo Fire & Rescue report the house remains structurally sound and the driver is still at large. (13abc Action News)
- The local app Alertizen, which is designed to warn residents of possible crime occurring in their neighborhoods, is shutting down after the City of Toledo declined its request for funds from the American Rescue Plan Act. However, mayoral candidate Carty Finkbeiner has stated he would fund the app if elected this year. (13abc Action News)
- The Fort Industry Square project in Downtown Toledo, located between Jefferson and Monroe Street, is finally beginning to formalize, welcoming its first official tenant with Northwestern Mutual. The site is also host to the Toledo location of the Detroit-based restaurant Bobcat Bonnie's. (WTOL)
- Defendant Aaron Lehane has pleaded guilty for the hazing death of Bowling Green University Student Stone Foltz in the Wood County Court of Common Pleas. Lehane will be sentenced February 10. (WTOL)
- 57-year-old Marvin Dyer has been arrested in the murder of 18-year-old Davon Butler that occurred on October 14 in West Toledo. Eight witnesses reportedly saw Dyer fire a gun at someone else but instead struck Butler. (WNWO NBC 24)

- The Lucas Co. Sheriff's Office is conducting sobriety checkpoints for 2 locations in Springfield Twp. The checkpoints will be located at 6355 Angola Rd. and 7337 Bancroft Street from 8 PM - 2 PM on Friday night. (13abc Action News)
- Papa Moose's Donuts opens new location in Maumee. The owners also offer coffee from Perrysburg's Iron Bean Coffee. (WTOL)
- The Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities is encouraging local businesses to hire employees with disabilities through its Community Inclusion and Empowerment program. Businesses can benefit greatly by hiring people they might have previously overlooked and benefit the entire community. (WTOL)
