The Ever-Growing Art of Pickleball (toledocitypaper.com) — Toledo's love of pickleball now has an 8-foot, locally built pickleball statue along the Glass City Riverwalk near Toledo Pickle on Water Street. Created by Toledo artist Dean Davis with area companies and Metroparks Toledo, the piece is meant purely for fun and to draw families to the riverfront. You can spot it from the bridge or up close between the parking lot and Maumee River.

2. East Palestine whistleblower to test air, soil after Brent Industries explosions (wkyc.com) — South Toledo residents will see independent air, soil, and water testing this Saturday near the Brent Industries plant after the deadly Aug. 18 explosions and fire, despite earlier government tests finding no hazards. Scientist Scott Smith, known for work in East Palestine, will sample around the South Avenue site as neighbors and city council members push for extra reassurance. The blast remains under investigation by local officials and federal agents.

Toledo woman missing for two weeks, mother searching for answers (13abc.com) — Toledo police and a local family are urgently asking for help finding 25-year-old Kahli Cluckey, who's been missing for two weeks after last being seen near Cottage Street. Relatives have been posting flyers along Cherry Street and searching across Toledo, worried about her safety and health. Anyone with information is urged to call Toledo Police at 419-245-3142.
