Here are the top stories today in Toledo:
- Award-winning artist John Legend is playing a private concert at the Toledo Museum of Art's Great Gallery on October 22. Tickets will be distributed to children and families through the museum's outreach initiatives. (13abc Action News)
- Two juveniles, aged 13 and 14, were arrested by Toledo Police after engaging in a high-speed chase in East Toledo Monday evening. The teens abandoned the stolen vehicle but were apprehended and taken to the Lucas County Juvenile Justice Center. (WTOL)
- A juvenile has been arrested after bringing a gun to the Toledo Barber Academy on the campus of Scott High School. Toledo Public Schools reports the juvenile was a patron of the academy and no students or staff members were threatened. (13abc Action News)
- One person is dead as the result of a car that crashed into a duplex at the 1600 block of Nebraska Avenue at Brown late Tuesday night. Toledo Police attempted a traffic stop with the vehicle when the driver fled at high speed, eventually crashing and killing a 20-year-old passenger. A 60-year-old woman was rescued from the second floor by Toledo Fire & Rescue. (WTOL)
- Maumee Bay State Park is getting an over $2.5 million grant to upgrade a section of its boardwalk. Ohio Rep. Marcy Kaptur announced that the Ohio Department of Natrual Resources awarded the grant to replace a 0.7 mile section of the 2.4 mile trail. (WNWO NBC 24)
