Here are the top five stories today in Toledo:
- Two probable cases of monkeypox have been identified in Lucas County, according to the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department. The Ohio Department of Health is helping investigate as 17 cases have been reported across the state. (WTOL) (WTVG)
- A teenager is in critical condition after being shot near the 300 block of Dennis Court at the McClinton Nunn Homes in Toledo Thursday morning. Toledo Police responded to the scene and anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111. (WTVG)
- A grant from the American Rescue Plan Act has funded a third ShotSpotter in East Toledo. The devices allow Toledo Police to investigate shootings as 80% go unreported. (WTOL) (WTVG)
- Sylvania music producer Jameil Aossey will be featured on Beyoncé's 7th album "Renaissance" that came out Thursday. Aossey has worked with Eminem, X Ambassadors, and Charlie Puth and is featured on two tracks "I'm That Girl" and "13 All Up in Your Mind." (WTVG)
- Shawnte Hardin, accused of falsely running funeral homes in several Ohio counties, will hear a verdict from Lucas County Judge Michael Goulding after final arguments began Thursday. Hardin allegedly improperly kept the cremated remains of Lucas County residents' loved ones and faces 44 charges including abuse of a corpse, passing bad checks and identity fraud. (WNWO)

- DOC's Productions and The Open Arms Group are planning a free jazz concert at Walbridge Park August 27 to honor Toledo's great jazz history. (WNWO)
- Sign-ups are available for "Over the Edge," a fundraiser that allows you to rappel down the 16-story Key Bank building in Toledo. Participants will be required to raise $1,000 for the event, which goes to help cancer patients and survivors through The Victory Center. (WTOL)
- Tickets for the 2022-2023 seasons for the Toledo Symphony, Toledo Ballet, and Toledo Jazz Orchestra performances go on sale August 1. (La Prensa)
- Lucas County Children Services and Buckeye Broadband collected school supplies at the Appliance Center in Maumee on Wednesday, aiming to fill 750 backpacks for the new school year. (WNWO NBC 24)
- The I-75 South ramp off the Anthony Wayne Trail near Downtown Toledo is back open after a 2 year project involving the Ohio Dept. of Transportation. (WTOL)
