Here are the top stories in Toledo today:
- The current graduating class for the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department is the most diverse in decades. The current class better represents the diversity of Toledo itself. The department has in the past been accused of bias and racial and gender discrimination. (WTOL)
- Toledo City Council is considering a proposed amendment that would lessen the 2,000 square feet spacing requirement needed to open a convenience store. The purpose of the amendment is to encourage business development in Toledo. However, current shop owners are concerned that such competition will hurt their current businesses. (13abc Action News)
- 27-year-old Rasheed Fisher has turned himself in to Toledo Police for a homicide that occurred November 3. Toledo Police had previously issued a warrant for Fisher's arrest. The original incident occurred on the 3300 block of Elm Street, near East Manhattan Boulevard and Lagrange Street. (13abc Action News)
- An April study at the University of Toledo focused on whether individuals anticipating severe vaccine-related side effects were more likely to actually suffer from them. The study, led by a UT professor and two graduate students, concluded that people's expectations indeed play a part in the severity of side effects they experience. (WNWO NBC 24)
- A man was shot Tuesday afternoon in South Toledo on Norwich Road and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. The incident occurred on the corner of Westgate and Norwich and nearby Reynolds Elementary School was put on lockdown as a result. (WTOL)

- 'Yellowstone' is back on Paramount, but did you know there's a Toledo connection? The Dutton Ranch, featured in the program, was once owned by glass tycoon and Toledoan William S. Ford. (WTOL)
- Toledo Zoo is mourning the death of Marty the polar bear. Marty was humanely euthanized at the age of 24 after suffering from a kidney-related disease he was diagnosed with 2 years ago. Marty came to the Toledo Zoo in 1999 and sired 8 cubs. (WTOL)
- Registration is open for Dave's Turkey Chase 5K to benefit Cherry Street Mission Ministries. The donations come as Cherry Street Mission prepares for one of its busiest volunteer days: Thanksgiving. (WNWO NBC 24)
