First, today's weather:

Here are the top five stories in Toledo today:
- Toledo Police are investigating two shootings that occurred late Thursday night and Friday morning. The first shooting on Thursday involved a teenage victim shot in the upper chest near Parkwood in Central Toledo. The second shooting occurred around 1 AM Friday involving several windows shot out of a Ford Taurus at the Mobil gas station at Cherry and Bancroft with at least one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. (WTOL)
- Toledo woman Taylor Corggens has been charged with one count of making false statements to a federal agent after she was caught on surveillance footage buying a firearm for Lamondre Gaston in violation of his felony record. Corggens is accused of lying to agents on two separate occasions by reporting the gun was stolen by Gaston. (13abc Action News)
- Katie Peters, a 10th & 12th grade English teacher at Whitmer High School, is going viral on TikTok for her video depicting a single day in her profession. The video has nearly 150,000 "likes" and comes as the Washington Local district is in need of substitute teachers. (WTOL)
- Neighbors on Vermaas Avenue are reporting a significant rat infestation that has been going on for at least five years. Residents report the rats are enormous and pose a threat to the people and pets in the neighborhood. The City of Toledo states it will not handle rodent issues unless they come from a city source. (13abc Action News)
- Several Northwest Ohio schools are facing a shortage of teachers and substitutes. Exacerbated by the pandemic, the shortage is expected to last through the next several years. (WNWO NBC 24)

- Toledo police have launched an initiative to address quality of life issues affecting communities, beginning with the North End. A number of community leaders and organizations are planning to meet and come up with solutions to the city's increasing violence. (WTOL)
- Busy weekend coming up at Huntington Center. Thursday saw a performance by Reba McEntire, Friday was a Toledo Walleye game, and Saturday is scheduled for a performance by Cody Johnson. Monday the arena will host WWE wrestling. (13abc Action News)
- Maumee resident Eric Shanteau wants the city to dedicate an intersection to Betty White. The proposal is to rename the intersection of White and Sofia streets to The Golden Girls Way. (13abc Action News)
