- East Toledo Family Center has been serving the community for 120 years, from providing aid to the country's earliest immigrants and on through the Great Depression. East Toledo Family Center Director Jodi Gross says the center is still providing for citizens of every age, including home visiting, preschool/Head Start, youth enrichment/athletics, and more. - Toledo Police are investigating a shooting involving a stolen car in East Toledo on Thanksgiving. A suspect crashed the stolen car into an occupied car after first shooting at the occupied vehicle. A woman and two children were in the occupied car but were not injured. (WTOL)
- One Oregon family is celebrating six years spending Thanksgiving passing out blankets and other winter essentials. 12-year-old Olivia Kesling inspired her family to start the tradition, which occurred this year at Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission Church. (WTOL)
- A backyard altercation at a private residence escalated into a shooting involving the Monroe County Sheriff's Department early Thursday morning. A 28-year-old Toledo man is accused of firing at a 35-year-old man from Erie, Michigan. (13abc Action News)
- The Ohio Department of Health reports that Northwest Ohio is the site of the most significant COVID-19 spread in the state. Health officials encourage getting vaccinated as the best protection against the virus. (13abc Action News)

- The Cherry Street Mission served about 250 people during its annual Thanksgiving day feast. Lunch was provided by the Real Seafood Company and served by employees of Chick-fil-A. 2021 has seen an 800% increase in new faces at the Mission. (WTOL)
- The Whitehouse Christmas Tree farm had its grand opening Friday, providing the perfect place to get the holiday staple. Despite a national Christmas tree shortage, the farm is confident in its number of trees and anticipates a busy season. (WNWO NBC 24)
- No workers were hurt in the Tuesday morning fire at the Toledo Refining Company that closed Pickle Road from Woodville to Patchen. Oregon Fire responded to the scene along with the refinery fire department after residents reported hearing and feeling an explosion. (13abc Action News)
- The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department has announced the days and times families can get their children aged 5-11 vaccinated against COVID-19. In addition to the site at the Lucas County Rec Center, several area pharmacies are participating as well. (Toledo Parent)
