• TMCPL to celebrate 130th anniversary with special event Oct. 15 (miamivalleytoday.com) — Troy residents are invited to a free 130th-anniversary celebration at the Troy-Miami County Public Library on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 5–8 p.m., featuring live music, kids’ activities, crafts, and local history displays. Families can meet Clifford, enjoy balloon creations, tour the Maker Lab and genealogy center, and even make a custom garden flag while supplies last.
   

• Miami County officials thanked for their work on Flynn case (miamivalleytoday.com) — Miami County commissioners meeting in Troy publicly thanked officials for their work on the high-profile Caleb Flynn murder conviction, then moved on to a long list of county business. For Troy residents, key actions included funding the Family Abuse Shelter, advancing a bridge rehabilitation, seeking more body-camera grant money, and appointing Troy resident David W. Lewis to the county Board of Developmental Disabilities.
   

• Tippecanoe advances four to district tennis (miamivalleytoday.com) — High school tennis fans in Troy saw Tippecanoe advance four players from sectional play at Troy City Park into next week’s Division II district tournament. Singles standouts Maddy Lieber and Sydney LaBreck, plus the doubles team of Mary Waibel and Eleanor Spangler, all secured district berths with strong performances against regional opponents.
