• VW County group tours New Albany data center park « The VW independent (thevwindependent.com) — Van Wert County leaders and residents traveled to New Albany to study a massive data center park as they prepare for similar development at the local megasite. Officials heard how New Albany handles noise, infrastructure, and water use, and some previously skeptical residents came away more confident about environmental protections and economic opportunities for Van Wert.
   

• Entries being accepted for Independence Day parade « The VW independent (thevwindependent.com) — Van Wert’s July 4 semiquincentennial parade is back this year, and organizers are now accepting entries through June 1 for the Main Street route from the YWCA to the YMCA. Navy Club Ship 726 is also planning music, food vendors, and kids’ activities at Fountain Park, including a concert by country singer Pete Schlegel.
