Trustees say they’re pursuing zoning tools to keep the township’s rural character, responding to resident concerns about utilities, property values, and large-scale development pressures seen elsewhere in Lorain County. 
• Wilkinson Earns 12th Career BFL Victory at Phoenix Bass Fishing League Event at Ohio River at Tanners Creek (anglerschannel.com) — A Vermilion angler, Jim Feathers, placed eighth in the co‑angler division at a Phoenix Bass Fishing League event on the Ohio River, weighing in three bass for 4 pounds, 13 ounces. The tournament, held at Tanners Creek in Indiana, kicked off the BFL Buckeye Division season and highlighted strong showings from several Ohio anglers aiming for regional and All-American berths.
