Deputies, court records, and district officials confirm an ongoing investigation, while the teacher has reportedly said he was joking around with the students. 
• Ohio teacher accused of punching student in jaw (cleveland.com) — A Waterford High School teacher has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of assault after an incident during gym class in which one student was reportedly punched in the jaw and another narrowly missed. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and school board are both reviewing what happened, while some students and a parent spoke in support of the teacher at a recent board meeting.
• ‘Fighting the fight': Wildcats rally late to beat Seminoles, 4-3 (newsandsentinel.com) — Waterford High’s baseball team pulled off a dramatic 4-3 walkoff win over Monroe Central, capped by Kam Johnson’s game-winning hit in the seventh inning. Senior pitcher Braun Doak went the distance, and the Wildcats now turn to matchups with Warren and Fort Frye as they gear up for next week’s tournament play.
