• Wellington painter created iconic ‘Spirit of '76' image (cleveland19.com) — Wellington’s own Spirit of ’76 Museum is spotlighting painter Archibald Willard, who lived and worked in town before creating the famous patriotic image. Many figures in the painting were real Wellington residents, and the museum displays related artifacts, including the original drum. The museum is open weekends from April through October, giving locals a chance to explore this hometown legacy.
