Man Falls Asleep in Drive-Thru of Taco Bell, Wakes Up, Drives into Police Cruiser
The man was arrested for OVI. That and other incidents in this police blotter.

WESTLAKE, OH - This week's police blotter includes some fascinating incidents, in terms of human behavior. First, a man got drunk and determined the drive-thru of Taco Bell was the ideal parking spot for a nap. When police woke him up, he thanked them by rolling into one of their police cruisers. Then a group of women stole thousands of dollars of merchandise from Victoria's Secret. No word yet on whether or not the group was holiday shoplifting.
Theft, Dec. 6 - A mower, grill, and scrap metal were stolen from a Sperry Drive business. Police say the items were left outside and were taken sometime between Dec. 2 and Dec. 6. The items are valued at $380.
Fraud, Dec. 6 - A Laughlin Lane woman's credit car was used in Texas between Nov. 10 and Nov. 16. The woman discovered the fraudulent charges, totaling $2,217, on Dec. 6 and reported them to police.

DCI, Dec. 6 - Police arrested a 36-year-old Bay Village woman after she showed up intoxicated at her ex-husband's Roanoke Court home and refused to leave. She began texting him, screaming, and pounding incessantly on the door. She was cited for DCI.
OVI, Dec. 9 - A 28-year-old Westlake man fell asleep behind the wheel of his 2002 Chevrolet pickup. He was in the driveway of a Taco Bell. When police officers woke the man, he lost control of the truck and rolled into a police cruiser. There was no damage. He was arrested for OVI, BAC (.089 breath), Failure to Control, and Seat Belt Required.

Shoplifting, Dec. 8 - Two thefts occurred at the Victoria's Secret store on Main Street on the same day. First, five women stole an estimated $400 worth of merchandise at 4:30 p.m. Then, two women ran out of the store with $1,900 worth of clothing at about 7 p.m. Police say they aren't sure if the same suspects were involved in both thefts.
Motor Vehicle Theft, Dec. 8 - A Northglen Drive man’s 2015 Ford pickup was stolen from his driveway on the night of Dec. 8. The keys were in it.
