Massage therapist working in Westlake, Strongsville arrested on rape charge (fox8.com) — Westlake residents are being urged to contact police if they had concerning experiences with a massage therapist who previously worked with clients in the city and now faces serious sex crime charges. Strongsville police arrested the North Olmsted man earlier in August, and both Strongsville and Westlake detectives are investigating additional allegations while he awaits a September court date. 
2. Local nursing home worker charged with stealing from blind resident's bank account: Police (fox8.com) — Westlake police say they helped uncover a scheme in which a North Olmsted nursing home aide allegedly used a blind resident's bank card to withdraw cash from a Citizens Bank ATM in Westlake. Investigators worked with the bank to identify a suspect now facing theft-related charges, and they're urging families of nursing home residents to closely monitor accounts.
3. Officers free fox tangled in soccer net (wgem.com) — A red fox got itself tangled in a soccer net in Westlake, but local police carefully cut it free and watched it sprint away unharmed. The Westlake Police Department shared video of the Saturday rescue, showing officers patiently working around the nervous animal until it could safely return to the wild.
4.
