Mason Jars, Pills, Scale Found In Westlake Car

This is the second time mason jars have reportedly been used to transport weed through the city.

WESTLAKE, OH — Police found mason jars with suspected marijuana, various narcotic pills and a scale in a car that was stopped on Columbia Road. Two people, a 22-year-old and a 19-year-old, were both arrested and charged with felony drug trafficking, police said.

The suspects' car was on Columbia, between Detroit and Hilliard, when a patrolling officer saw their vehicle commit a traffic violation. The two suspects' car allegedly almost caused a collision.

The driver apologized to police and said he made a mistake while driving. However, the 19-year-old passenger seemed "out of it," according to police.
