• WESTLAKE: Police devices help end pursuits (westlifenews.com) — Westlake police have equipped four cruisers with new Grappler devices to more safely end dangerous vehicle pursuits, after spending about $36,800 on equipment and officer training. The department hopes this tool will shorten chases in and around Westlake, reducing risks for residents, officers, and suspects while still allowing pursuits when circumstances justify them.
