Westlake Seniors Get Free Hot Meals [Photos]
The Westlake Senior and Community Services Center distributed hot meals to seniors this week.
WESTLAKE, OH — Westlake seniors got a treat on Tuesday.
Members of the Westlake Senior and Community Services Center spent part of the day distributing hot meals to senior residents. The initiative was part of an area-wide program run by the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging.
Gordon Food Services donated 80 meals, composed of Sloppy Joes, vegetables and rolls, for the seniors. Staff distributed the meals while wearing face masks to protect themselves and residents from the spread of COVID-19.

The Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging offers nutrition program services geared to Northeast Ohioans who are 60 and older. Westlake staff said they will likely coordinate additional meal distributions with the agency in the future.
