• Wickliffe Public Library hosts talk on CapTel captioned telephone technology (news-herald.com) — Residents with hearing loss can learn about free CapTel captioned telephones at a Wickliffe Public Library program on Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. The session will explain eligibility, demonstrate the phones, and walk through the simple application and installation options. Registration is available by phone or online, and the library is at 1713 Lincoln Road.
   

• NE Ohio high school running backs 2026: Top players to watch (cleveland.com) — Northeast Ohio’s top high school running backs list includes Wickliffe sophomore Elijah Fitch after a standout freshman season. Fitch rushed for 1,118 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning All-Ohio third-team honors in Division VI. • Sentencing for Lake County man guilty of fatally shooting his ex-wife (cleveland19.com) — A man from Wickliffe is scheduled for sentencing after pleading guilty to charges including aggravated murder in the fatal June 2025 shooting of his ex-wife outside a Chardon home. Police say he was arrested shortly after the incident in Concord Township, and the couple shared five children. The case has drawn attention across Lake and Geauga counties.
