Man facing charges after utility worker dies after crash in Greene County (whio.com) — A Xenia man is facing vehicular homicide and manslaughter charges after a May crash in Sugarcreek Township that fatally injured a utility worker, according to Xenia Municipal Court records. Investigators say his truck hit a stopped utility vehicle on Upper Bellbrook Road, throwing the worker from a raised bucket; the driver from Xenia was uninjured and is due back in court later this month.

4. Sheriff warns against catalytic converter thefts (xeniagazette.com) — Catalytic converter thefts are rising in and around Xenia, and the Greene County Sheriff is urging residents to report suspicious activity immediately and park vehicles in safer, well-lit areas. A newly signed state law will soon stiffen penalties and tighten rules on scrap and salvage dealers handling converters.

GLSCL: Jolly, Echols lead Locos to doubleheader sweep of Xenia (xeniagazette.com) — Xenia baseball fans saw the Scouts struggle as the Lima Locos completed a three-game sweep, capped by an 8–0 shutout at Simmons Field. Strong Xenia pitching couldn’t overcome Lima’s revived bats, which delivered 14 hits in the nightcap and marked the Locos’ 900th win in franchise history.
