• $1.7 million federal grant to boost Central State, Ohio's only public HBCU (dayton247now.com) — Central State University’s campus is now annexed into the city of Xenia, meaning the city will provide fire and medical services while the school keeps its own utilities, transportation, and police. That change comes as CSU receives a one-time $1.7 million federal grant to upgrade classrooms, technology, housing, and campus facilities, which leaders say will improve student success and reduce some operating costs.
