• Mercy Health's Joanie Abdu Center Expands Breast Cancer Care (businessjournaldaily.com) — Youngstown's Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center is now offering an advanced endoscopic nipple-sparing mastectomy, giving eligible breast cancer patients less scarring and potentially easier recovery. Local surgeons Dr. Nicole Reyes and Dr. Adam Cash are teaming up to provide coordinated cancer treatment and immediate reconstruction, expanding high-level breast care options for women across the Mahoning Valley.
   

• YSU Provost Accepts Challenges (businessjournaldaily.com) — Youngstown State University's provost Jennifer Adams is launching a "Challenge accepted" theme for the 2026-27 academic year, focusing on enrollment growth, online programs, and faculty workload changes. She also highlighted YSU's push toward stronger research status and the opening of the new YSU Steubenville campus while urging faculty to help attract and retain students.
   

• Youngstown police arrest man after East Side chase (wkbn.com) — Youngstown police arrested a 33-year-old man after an East Side traffic stop for a cracked windshield turned into a high-speed chase and foot pursuit near McGuffey Road and Cedar Lane. Officers say they later recovered suspected crack cocaine along his escape route. The suspect faces multiple felony charges and is expected in municipal court Friday.
