Lawton sets up Community Cleanout and donation sites for Nov. 7 (texomashomepage.com) — Lawton is organizing a major Community Cleanout and donation day on Saturday, Nov. 7, with drop-off sites at the Lawton Public Library and the FISTA parking lot. Residents can donate usable items, safely dispose of hazardous household waste, and recycle electronics and other materials, with clear rules on what’s accepted and a city contact for questions.

3. Comanche Nation Fair marks 33 years with Powwow, carnival rides (kswo.com) — Lawton residents can head to the Comanche Nation Fair this weekend for Powwow dancing, live music, carnival rides, and plenty of Indian tacos at the tribal headquarters and fairgrounds. Marking 33 years, the celebration runs Oct. 2–4 and highlights Comanche culture, including the 2026 Comanche Nation princess continuing a multigenerational family tradition.
