• Morris Academic Team honored (henryettafree-lance.com) — A state champion academic competition was hosted Jan. 31 at Rose State College in Midwest City, where the Morris High School Academic Team captured its fourth straight 3A title. The squad was later honored at the Oklahoma Capitol, with lawmakers praising the students, coach, and school community for their dedication to academics and leadership as role models.
