ā¢ Piedmont planning commission encourages city council to deny data center proposal (kfor.com) ā Piedmontās Planning Commission is urging the City Council to deny a massive 630-acre data center rezoning called Project Open Sky, citing unanswered questions about water, power, and environmental impacts. Residents packed Mondayās meeting to voice worries about rural character, infrastructure strain, and ecosystem damage, while the developer pledged closed-loop cooling and funding for needed upgrades. The council could take up the issue as soon as June 22.
