• 6 local All-Staters take part in All-State Football Game (sequoyahcountytimes.com) — Sallisaw sports fans can cheer three local Black Diamonds who suited up or supported the East squad in the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Football Game in Edmond. Football player Hunter Smith, cheerleader Emma Martin, and student trainer Addy Orendorff represented Sallisaw alongside standouts from Vian and Muldrow as the West beat the East 32–16.
