The Books Sandwiched In series, sponsored by the Friends of the Tulsa City-County Libraries, provides in-depth reviews of current and classic fiction and nonfiction. Reviewers are experts from the community who share their knowledge about the authors and books chosen for Books Sandwiched In. The reviews take place in Central Library’s Aaronson Auditorium, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue. Books reviewed in the spring of 2017 included The Hamilton Affair by Elizabeth Cobbs, Patriotic Betrayal: The Inside Story of the CIA’s Secret Campaign to Enroll American Students in the Crusade Against Communism by Karen M. Paget, The Architect’s Apprentice by Elif Shafak, How Not to Be Wrong: The Power of Mathematical Thinking by Jordan Ellenbe, Kind of Kin by Rilla Askew, and Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg by Irin Carmon and Shana Knizhnik. The fall 2017 selections will be equally informative and thought-provoking.

The new Books Sandwiched In series will feature fiction and nonfiction including memoir. Selections will be announced in September and the reviews will begin in October.
