Following last night’s severe weather, the City of Tulsa’s Streets and Stormwater department, along with the Tulsa Area Emergency Management Agency (TAEMA), is assessing the situation, with 10 trees having been removed from roadways.

There have been two reports of damaged structures, with one home that sustained tree damage, and a duplex that sustained roof damage. TAEMA is working with PSO to ensure power is restored to certain residents affected by power outages and downed lines.
Though initially closed for Veterans Day, the City of Tulsa Mulch Site at 2100 N 145th E Ave. will open today for tree limb drop off only through 5 p.m.

Residents can also bundle limbs and branches and tie them into bundles no more than 2-feet across and 4-feet long, weighing less than 40 lbs., and put them alongside their refuse cart on their regular trash day and crews will pick them up. There is a limit of 15 bags and/or bundles that will be picked up at the curb on a resident’s primary collection day.
Those needing mulch or firewood will need to wait until storm debris has been taken care of.
