- Over the last six years, Pastor Michael Todd has elevated Transformation Church from a 300-person congregation in a former north Tulsa grocery store to a viral internet sensation that has been able to acquire millions of dollars worth of properties and make hefty donations to worthy local causes. The secret? A set of video cameras and an initial collection of $8,300 from the congregation. Todd gave the money away to help other churches, and its reputation of generosity has grown ever since. - Oklahoma Game Wardens discovered an illegal shocking device on a boat at Skiatook Lake on Friday. Game Warden Jeremy Bersche spent four hours hiding and waiting in the brush near a boat ramp on Hominy Creek. Bersche and Lieutenant Paul Welch made themselves known to the suspects, a husband and wife, as they returned around 10 p.m. and issued two citations. (KTUL)
- A Green Country man was convicted and sentenced to 45 years in prison for charges related to beating his mother with a hammer, including assault and battery, kidnapping, and larceny. Tulsa police arrested Andy Perez in May after he beat his mother with a hammer and refused to let her get medical treatment for three days. (News On 6)
- Tulsa Public Schools will provide all students under 18 with grab-and-go snacks and dinner meals during their fall break today and tomorrow, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (KRMG)
