New parking lot ends drop-off dispute at Grissom Elementary (kjrh.com) — A newly completed parking lot at Grissom Elementary in Tulsa is easing long-running tensions between nearby residents and parents over chaotic drop-off and pick-up traffic. After permit delays pushed construction into summer, the expanded lot and adjusted running-club schedule are keeping cars off neighborhood streets and the main road, with parents and Tulsa Public Schools staff reporting smoother, safer traffic flow.
   

2. Tulsa Walmart associate recognized after saving customer (newson6.com) — A Tulsa Walmart employee is being honored after using CPR and an AED to help save a customer who collapsed inside the store, with Tulsa firefighters later taking over care. The customer survived and personally thanked him at a recognition ceremony, where officials urged more residents to learn basic lifesaving skills.
   

3. Habitat for Humanity begins construction on 10 north Tulsa homes (tulsaflyer.org) — New homes are going up quickly in north Tulsa as Green Country Habitat for Humanity begins building the first 10 of 31 planned houses in the new Wilshire Trails neighborhood near Hawthorne Park. City leaders say the project, backed by major infrastructure upgrades, brings long overdue investment, quality housing, and future business growth to the Phoenix District and surrounding north Tulsa community.
   

4. Suspect arrested after armed robbery at Plaza San Cristobal in Tulsa (newson6.com) — Tulsa Police say a 21-year-old man was arrested after an armed robbery at Plaza San Cristobal near 41st and 129th East Avenue, where a store employee was allegedly held at gunpoint. Detectives traced him to nearby apartments, recovered a handgun, clothing, and cash, and report that he confessed and expressed remorse.
   

5. Tulsa Regional Chamber holds final women's programming event in 2026 series (fox23.com) — Tulsa's Regional Chamber has wrapped up its 2026 women's programming series with a Mayo Hotel event focused on communication and leadership. Speaker Lauren Sweeney shared strategies to build confidence and influence, part of a new effort to better connect and support women professionals across the Tulsa region.
