• Sheriff details Simpson Park operation (hh-today.com) — Unauthorized campers have been cleared from Albany’s Simpson Park after weeks of preparation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and Albany police community service officers, following reports of crime, fires, and unsafe conditions. Deputies made multiple warrant arrests, recovered stolen property, and will begin contractor-led cleanup and restoration of the area north of Talking Water Gardens.
