4. $50,000 gift will help bring a new Ashland landmark to life (ashland.news) ā A major new mural is coming to the Ashland Elks Lodge downtown, backed by a $50,000 TāMobile grant and created by trompe lāoeil artist John Pugh with local collaborators. The 100-foot piece will honor Indigenous Shasta history, integrate interactive AI developed with SOU, and is being led by Ashland-based nonprofit Artnow to become a signature cultural landmark.

Ashland city leaders ask residents to cut back water use (ashland.news) ā Ashland officials are urging residents to start voluntarily cutting water use now after a record-low snowpack threatens Reeder Reservoir levels much earlier than usual. Public Works plans to lean more on Medfordās TAP line and irrigation sources while a new treatment plant and pump upgrades come online, and residents are asked to conserve smartly while still protecting trees and wildfire resilience.
