2. 2023 Ashland Manslaughter Conviction Overturned (kobi5.com) — Ashland residents are seeing a major legal turn in the 2020 Stratford Inn shooting case, as the 2023 manslaughter conviction of Robert Paul Keegan in Aidan Ellison’s death has been overturned. Oregon man dies after medical emergency while swimming at Shasta Lake (krcrtv.com) — An 87-year-old Ashland man, Alvin Eatinger, died Monday after suffering a medical emergency while swimming near a houseboat on Shasta Lake in Northern California. Bystanders and deputies tried lifesaving measures before he was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. Shasta County authorities are urging boaters and swimmers, including Ashland visitors, to use proper safety gear and wear life jackets on the water.
