Beaverton Man Charged With Blackmailing Woman With Nude Photos

Sean Spaulding allegedly took the photos with a hidden camera and threatened to post them online.

A 21-year-old man from Beaverton is under indictment, accused of taking nude photos of a woman with a hidden camera and then demanding more photos or he would send the ones he had to her family and post them online.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says that they received a report from a woman who had been receiving anonymous text messages from someone with the photos that she had clearly been taken without her knowledge.

During their investigation, detectives were able to identify Sean Spaulding as the suspect. They say that they also determined that in June 2016, he had trucked a juvenile female into sending him nude photos of herself.

The sheriff's office says that in a third instance, Spaulding posed online as a woman from Portland in an attempt to get other women to send him nude photos.

He was indicted last week on a series of charges including invasion of privacy, encouraging child sex abuse, and identity theft.

The Sheriff's Office believes there may be more victims and is asking anyone with information to contact the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 503-629-0111
