Embattled Beaverton Strip Club Being Bought by California Chain

Stars Cabaret, which is the subject of an $8 million civil suit, being purchased by Spearmint Rhino.

The embattled Beaverton strip club, Stars Cabaret, is being sold to the California-based Spearmint Rhino.

Stars has gained notoriety after a manager was arrested - and later, convicted - for abusing a 13-year-old girl, employing her as a dancer and allowing her to be raped by customers who "bought" her time.

The owners of the club are being sued by the state's labor commissioner for sexual harassment of minors - the 13-year-old and a 15-year-old.
