New Beaverton High School readies for 2026 school year (beavertonvalleytimes.com) — Beaverton High School students will start the 2026 school year in a brand-new, 290,000-square-foot building on Southwest Farmington Road, opening to freshmen Aug. 25 and other grades Aug. 26. The $253 million campus adds natural light-filled classrooms, a modern auditorium, expanded gym, and new career-technical spaces, while the old building will be demolished to create much-needed parking. 
2. Remains believed to be missing Beaverton men found off Highway 6 (bankspost.com subscription) — Authorities believe human remains found with a crashed vehicle off Highway 6 are those of two Beaverton men, Eddie Hair and Scott Smith, missing since a 2025 outdoor trip. Beaverton police and Tillamook County investigators linked the wrecked red Jeep Wrangler to the friends and are awaiting official identification from the state medical examiner.
3.
