Cascades East Transit Increases Frequency on Bend Routes Beginning May 4 - The Source - Bend, Oregon (bendsource.com) — Starting May 4, Cascades East Transit will run Bend’s Routes 1 and 4 along 3rd Street every 15 minutes midday on weekdays, and boost frequency on key corridors serving St. Charles and Neff Road. Route 6 will also be adjusted to serve the new Deschutes Public Library – Central Library when it opens May 11, so riders should check updated schedules online or at Hawthorne Station.

Here's how many times Bend's new red light cameras logged something in the first 5 days (centraloregondaily.com) — Bend’s new red light and speed cameras recorded more than 350 events in their first five days, but tickets won’t start going out until May 15 due to a 30-day warning period. The cameras sit at high-crash intersections, and violations will carry presumptive fines starting at $265, payable or challengeable through Bend Municipal Court.

Volcano Preparedness Workshop Being Held in Bend - The Source - Bend, Oregon (bendsource.com) — A free volcano-preparedness workshop is coming to Central Oregon Community College in Bend on Wednesday, April 29, giving residents practical tips on how to prepare for volcanic hazards. State emergency officials and geologists will explain local Cascade volcano risks, how alerts work, and simple steps Bend households can take now to be ready for an eruption or related emergency.
