• Young California Condor Makes History With First Oregon Flight in More Than 120 Years (edhat.com) — A young California condor recently made a historic detour to Brookings during the first documented free-flight into the state in more than 120 years. The two-year-old bird, B9, logged about 80 miles in Oregon on a multi-day journey from Northern California, briefly overnighted near Cave Junction, followed the Smith River corridor to the coast, and then returned safely to her release site.
