Junior standout Ally Nottingham went 8-for-8 in Friday’s doubleheader and added clutch pitching, while other Rogue Valley baseball and softball teams, including North Medford and Phoenix, also logged important wins. 
• Local resident builds little free libraries to inspire more people to read (kdrv.com) — A Central Point craftsman has spent 12 years building 18 Little Free Libraries around the Rogue Valley, with help from local businesses like Central Point Glass. His hand‑designed boxes, inspired by his granddaughter, are now community fixtures that neighbors help maintain, encouraging kids and adults alike to grab a book and spend less time on screens.
